Questions about how to take a homeopathic remedy? ...
- Follow your homeopath's instructions rather than those on the bottle. - Avoid food or drink, etc. for at least 15 min. before or after taking remedy. - Allow the pellets to dissolve under the tongue. - Don't use anything with camphor, menthol or tea tree oil in it. - Use drugs only if prescribed by your doctor. - Do not take herbal medicines/supplements. - No coffee; use caution with alcohol. - Do not use an electric blanket.
The highly energetic nature of sunlight, cell phones, x-rays, microwaves
and such can damage the remedy. Keep remedies away from cell phones,
computers, x-rays and microwaves, and out of direct sunlight, and they
will last indefinitely. Don't keep them in your car in the
summer, as heat over 120 degrees can also damage remedies.
When should I call or email my homeopath?
- When you have a question or
concern. - Before starting another therapy or taking any other medications
including other homeopathic remedies. - You are suffering from an acute illness or injury and feel the need for additional support. Often times your constitutional remedy is all you will need, but sometimes another remedy is indicated to help you through an acute phase.
How often do I need to schedule follow-up visits?
Based on your individualized situation, a first follow-up visit will be
scheduled for 2 to 8 weeks after the remedy is started. Subsequent
follow-ups will likely be less frequent, again determined by
your specific situation. Be prepared to commit to a minimum of 6 months
of follow-up. Homeopathy supports a gradual building of one’s health
over time. Physical symptomology happens gradually and will heal
gradually.
